General conditions of sale for the British Hypnosis Research and Training Institute (est 1979)
Article 1: Scope of application
These general conditions of sale apply to all transactions concluded through the websites of the British Hypnosis Research and Training Institute, hereby known as the BHRTI. Any natural or legal person making with the BHRTI an order validated via our secure payment platform or by check or cash is considered an applicant.
Article 1: Age limit
BHRTI only accepts applicants over 16 years old (for physical and electronic products) and over 18 years old (for services: courses, workshops, therapy). We prefer to target a mature audience capable of understanding the implications and responsibilities of psychotherapy practice and associated disciplines. Any applicant who does not meet these criteria will be immediately deleted from our database as soon as this is brought to our attention. Likewise, applicants not meeting these criteria will be reimbursed, and enrollment will be cancelled.
Article 2: Order
Any order placed on a site belonging to the BHRTI implies full and unreserved acceptance of these general conditions of sale.
Article 3: Price
The prices are indicated in pounds sterling. The price of items can be changed at any time. However, the price applied to an order will be announced at the time of the order.
Article 4: Payment
Payment (either deposit or full payment) is due immediately on the order date, including for pre-order products. Balance payments for courses enrolled in with a deposit are due 10 days before the start of the course purchased. Secure online payment by credit card is made through the company Stripe. The information transmitted is encrypted by software and cannot be read during transport over the network. Any guarantee as to the security of this system is entirely the responsibility of the company Stripe and cannot be attributed to the BHRTI.
Upon enrollment for an online course, the applicant enters into a legally binding agreement and, upon accessing the course, will have full access to the course purchased. This applies regardless of whether the applicant pays for the course in full or by instalments. The option to pay by instalments allows applicants to spread payment over the period of the course, but it does not allow applicants to opt out once they have had access to the entire course. Missed and non-payment of instalments during the course will put the applicant's course access on hold until payment is received. Applicants are asked to ensure their credit card has sufficient monthly funds when paying by instalments.
Article 5: Delivery
Delivery of digital products and courses is made via links sent to the email address specified by the applicant when placing an order (applicants are asked to pay particular attention to the spelling of their email address).
Article 6: Protection of personal data
By adhering to these general conditions of sale, applicants consent to our collection and use of personal data and have the right to access and rectify their data in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978. By entering an email address on one of our sites, applicants will receive emails containing information and/or promotional offers concerning products published by the BHRTI. Applicants can unsubscribe anytime by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the end of our emails.
